“WARRIOR OF THE SUN”
The inspirations for this warrior are found in the Mesoamerican history of Latin America before the arrival of the Europeans. Among the various gods, they worshiped the sun which was the source of all life. The comb decoration is actually from that part of the world.
The collar of the costume is called a plaited twill, while the rest of the fabric is a plain weave. Acrylic paints were used. The base color is a bright pink, while the black is a mixture of umber, deep violet, and a mossy green. There are at least seven shades of yellow in the sun, and two shades of white in the center.
